What Is a Lenticular Phone Case?

Last updated: 27 October 2026.

A lenticular phone case has printed artwork that changes as you tilt it. A face may turn, an expression may switch, or a scene may appear to move. The changing view is part of the printed surface.

How the changing image works

A lenticular print combines narrow strips of different images with a lens layer. Different angles reveal different strips, creating a flip, a short motion effect or an impression of depth. Kodak explains the printing process in its lenticular white paper.

For the visual effect, you move the case or change your viewing angle. A lenticular design does not let you upload a new image. If you want to replace the displayed artwork, look specifically for a customizable electronic display product.

What to look for in a product demonstration

  • The transition: look for a continuous tilt showing both ends of the effect.
  • The exact design: different artworks on the same listing can have different transitions.
  • The direction: check whether the demonstration tilts side to side or up and down.
  • The phone model: compare the camera opening and model selector with your device.

A single product photo shows one view. Use any available product video to judge the transition, and ask about the selected design if the gallery does not show it clearly.

The Reze Motion Effect Phone Case offers separate Black - Glance Back and Purple - Blink styles. Select the style you actually want, then select the phone model. The product listing describes the changing artwork; this guide is an explanation of the effect rather than a sample test.

Does lenticular artwork tell me about protection or charging?

The artwork describes the visual effect. Check the selected product's material, edge design and compatibility information separately. Charging support needs confirmation for the exact case, phone and charger combination.

Browse lenticular phone cases, compare lenticular and printed designs, or check your phone model before ordering.

Is a lenticular effect the same as a shaker case?

No. Lenticular artwork changes with the viewing angle. A shaker design has loose pieces moving inside a compartment. Choose the effect you want, then check the exact model, package and construction.
